who are the leaders
NorWest is associated with the Christian Brethren, in which each church is autonomous, but meets regularly in conference.
The leadership team consists of the elders and team leaders. The team leaders are men and women who have responsibility for particular areas of ministry.
Eldership is not a privilege but a responsibility. The elders serve God by caring for the welfare of the church as a whole and for each individual member.
graham scott
Graham is an industrial chemist, working mostly with polyester resins (whatever they are). He runs his own business, and enjoys fixing things and sorting out problems.
Graham was a founding elder of the church when it was established in 1990. He has responsibility for administrative matters - a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff. He's also involved with the youth group. His overwhelming desire is to see people grow in Christ.

brad scott
Brad is a civil and structural engineer. By profession, and by nature, he just loves to see things get built! He's also into V8 motor sports (he's actually met Craig Lowndes), water skiing, and family time.
Brad looks after the education team at Norwest. You'll also often see him at the back of the meetings looking after the sound system or computer equipment. He has a vision to see the church grow, and become more evangelistic.

steve torrance
Steve was a fitter and turner, but has also managed a camp site, gone to Bible college, and worked in the chemical industry. Now he's part time youth and community worker with Barnier Public School, working with the kids, as well as the parents and teachers.
Steve's responsibilities at Norwest are in pastoral care. He's a great listener, and is always ready to pray for you and do what he can to help out. He wants families to see that Christianity is relevant for today, for them personally.

frank ubaudi
Frank has worked in a number of IT jobs, and is currently involved in systems development. As a "sideline", he's doing a PhD, developing a treatment outcome prediction model for childhood leukemia. He believes in getting out and enjoying life, and particularly likes outdoor stuff such as bikeriding and bushwalking.
Frank responded to a Billy Graham meeting when he was 20, but didn't really find a personal relationship with the Lord until a decade later. He loves to help people, by encouragement and mentoring. He looks after the small group programs at Norwest.

At NorWest we try to imitate the pattern for a local church as given in the new testament.
- The church is a fellowship which aspires to harmony and unity.
- The church is a family which operates on relationships not rules.
- The church is a body which functions as an organism not an organisation.
Women can hold any office in the church except eldership.
